Photoluminescent thread and tapes

High intensity photoluminescent threads are seeing increased use in embroidery and machine sewing for badges, clothes, tags and so on. Glow fibers are used to produce luminous fishing nets, knitted goods, glow carpets and glow ropes. Sold in spools, photoluminescent threads are available in many colors.

A photoluminescent tape is made from PVC or polyolefins and photoluminescent pigment. They are  non-radioactive and non-toxic. Photoluminescent Tapes are used in boats, subway, building, supermarket etc. They are of superior quality, have a good adhesive backing as well as easy to cut and use.  The tapes are also frequently found on steps to identify them clearly in case of power failure.

Tapes continue to find functional applications.  This firefighter suit has photoluminescent tape in additon to reflective tape.  The combination of the tape greatly improve the safety of firefighters.
